Accelerate Africa
This theme uncovers opportunities to drive partnerships and growth within corporates, brands, investors, tech hubs and the startup community.
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
African startups raised $2.02 billion in funding in 2019, a 74% YOY growth (Partech). Ecosystem acceleration is key to strengthening the entrepreneurship in Africa and holds the answer to mass youth job creation.
Under this theme we tap into the breadth of innovation and build partnerships within, corporates, brands, investors, tech hubs and start up community. Join us as we bring together inventors from the whole ecosystem including Fintech, connected devices, integrated supply chain, e-commerce, health tech, agri tech, smart cities, assistive tech, utilities and more.
As we go into the 2020s we will see many startups in the region go into the ‘growth phase’. So we need to ask ourselves the question – what do we each need to do to build an ecosystem for startups to thrive in?
Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a whole ecosystem to build a startup.
